They met through a mutual friend one night at a club one evening and hit it off so well that they began dating soon after.
As Dominic got to know Amy, he discovered that she came from a family of baseball fans. So when it came time to propose, he came up with an elaborate plan to surprise her, by asking him to marry her at Grouse Mountain. Before the proposal, he took a baseball, cut it in half, hollowed it out, and put the ring in it. The day they got engaged, Dominic brought Amy up to Grouse Mountain, hoping for a view for the moment he popped the question. But the sky was overcast and Dominic got a bit nervous. By this time, Amy had figured out what was going on and told her beloved to ask the question. Quick as you please, Dominic was down on one knee (and back up again, almost as quickly!), asking Amy to marry him. Of course, there was only one answer. (And she loved her gorgeous ring – as well as the amazing baseball ring holder!)
In addition to being a big fan of baseball, Amy loves the fall, with its changing leaves and stunning colours. They set their wedding date for October 2018 at Swan-e-set and wanted to do their engagement photos there, during the same season. Meeting these two dear ones was an absolute dream and I loved photographing them (along with their adorable rescue pup, Nico)!
Amy + Dominic, congratulations! And thank you so much for allowing me to document this amazing season in your lives. Here are a just a few of my favourites from our session…
